SYNOPSIS
For My Lolo is a pseudo-documentary solo performance with original music that interrogates and examines the Filipinx family in the diaspora, a generational divide, and queerness-in-the-closet. For My Lolo is about what it means to be living life queerly and breaking generational curses through a memorial (wake) one diary entry at a time.
Running Time: Approximately 70-75 minutes. No intermission.

Danielle Mendoza
Danielle Mendoza (she/her/hers) is a Bay Area native and is honored to be working with The Chikahan Company on this new and special developing show, For My Lolo. She is a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo graduate with a BA in Music. She most recently lived out her Queendom dreams and sailed the seas with Norwegian Cruise Line as Anne Boleyn in the Broadway show, SIX: The Musical. Other credits: The Secret Silk (Princess Cruises), Kim in Miss Saigon (BBB), Basketcase/Princess in Brat Pack (FTR), and Larry The Musical. IG: @daniemendomusic
